Project Approach and Organisation
Proposed methodology
The euroREAD project follows the action-research approach. It starts with hypotheses based on results and experiences from other studies and projects. The hypotheses are described, data are collected and analysed, guidelines are developed. This all takes place with active involvement of teachers and teacher tutors/trainers throughout the process.

The activities and the work that will be undertaken in euroREAD will to the largest extent possible build on the work which is currently being carried out in the EU-funded project "SocraTESS ODL Network". This implies that the partnership is well established, and that the project will be operational very quickly.

This also means that the project is relatively cheap based on the fact that most structures are already established, certain equipment can be shared, data collection will take place through the given project network etc.

One activity in "SocraTESS ODL Network" is a training course being given to teachers in the participating 11 countries. The experts connected to the "Ability to adapt" project are tutors on this course and thus in regular contact with schools and teachers all over Europe. In their contact with the teachers data will be collected both through questionnaires and through direct contact.
